The top stitch of the

"The top stitch of the double needle felled seam on the seat failed upon the first wearing. And it wasn't like I was using them in a real demanding way. Just going about my day around my home which possibly can involve occasional squatting or stretching the fabric, but I don't even recall doing that, and if I did it was probably bending over to pick something up or pet my dog. Anyway, the seat of these pants uses a chain stitch versus a lockstitch, so if one part of the seam breaks the whole think goes. Not what you want on the seat of your pants, and not what one would expect from a brand that specializes in supposedly sturdy work clothes. I love the MIMAX design, but this is poor engineering and poor quality. Quite a disappointment for my first Red Kap purchase."

Automotive Technicians very happy with this option for uniforms

"This has been a great upgrade for our technicians. We were optimistically cautious given the wear and tear that automotive repair can bring. They have been wearing them for about a month now and no notable issues with durability specific to the MIMIX fabric snagging or tearing. This style pant does seem to run on the smaller side around the waist and is less roomy in the seat than a typical work pant. I am returning several pair due to the waist being snugger and the pants being a slimmer fit. Went up on inch in waist size and that worked great."

Too small returning items.

"I ordered 3 sizes bigger than I normally wear and they were still about 8 sizes too small. The tag actually was printed 32 and someone wrote on top of it saying they were the size I ordered. I won't be ordering from here again."

Mimix pro pants

"These pants run small compared to Cintas flex pro. I ordered a size up and will recommend to order 2 sizes up if you have big legs and will only recommend these then. The gusset is also kind of small too, wish it had more room. Im way past my return period but I still wear these since I bought 4 pairs."

Shrunk at least 2" after washing - Followed the instructions

"As SkillsUSA Advisors, I figured I would buy my husband a pair of pants and a shirt for his birthday. He loved them, they fit amazingly, they were very flexible, and he enjoyed working in them. Then we washed them. . . I checked the label instructions just to be on the safe side. They shrunk at least 2" around the waist and throughout! They are very tight around his thighs and calves, and he could barely zip them or button the top. They are shorter now also. I double-checked the page to ensure there were no warnings about shrinkage and to buy a larger size than needed. Red Kap does not take returns after they have been washed. They will offer is a discount on the purchase of a new pair. Why would I want to buy another pair that may do the same thing? They finally offered to send another pair free of charge. Unwashed, they fit amazingly - and no one else seems ot have this complaint on here, so if they work, I will come back and update this review."

I really did want to

"I really did want to love these pants, but I’ve already lost the buttons off both of them. They completely just broke off. They lasted about a week and they are good material and quality other than the fact that the main button broke off completely and I’m not a sewing person so I couldn’t put it back together myself and haven’t had time to take it to a shop. I may have just gotten two bad pairs who knows"

How long is a zipper opening on the mimix pant?: It would depend on the size, but for a 32x34 it would be 6 1/8. Please let us know if there is a specific size you're interested in!
What is the size of the leg opening: It would depend on the exact size, but for a 32 the leg bottom is 18, for reference. If you need a specific size, please let us know!
how much does the waist stretch? can you tuck 2 shirts in without being too tight? Usually 34 waist, but in winter wear 2 shirts.: Hey Chris - it's hard for us to advise on sizing and everyone has different preferences and shapes. If you're concerned with tucking in two shirts, it might be a good idea to order a size up in waist and wear a belt.
